Laura Brower bought her first two 1% shares of a Standardbred in October 2023. She embarked on her ownership journey by joining TheStable.ca. It was her way of honouring the passing of her brother, Dave Brower — a longtime broadcaster and media personality with The Meadowlands until his sudden passing at 53 in 2022.
They were both introduced to The Meadowlands and harness racing as kids in the ’70s. While Dave pursued the sport as a career, Laura went a different direction, pursuing nursing, and is now an entrepreneur with a thriving practice in legal nurse consulting.
