DOVER, DE — The gamble paid off for clients of TheStable.ca who own Threepointbluechip, winner of the $179,200 Matron Stakes at Dover Downs on November 4.

The group of 30 paid a $20,000 supplemental fee to enter the two-year-old trotting colt into the race. Driver James MacDonald positioned him on the front early in the mile, winning by a half-length at odds of 9-2. The clocking of 1:55 matches his career mark.

It was the third win for the Walner colt bred by Blue Chip Farms. He raced from the barn of Jim King Jr. and the stakes victory bumps his career earnings to $107,100 in six rookie starts.

His next anticipated start is in the Valley Victory at Meadowlands Racetrack.
