Northfield, OH — TheStable.ca has implemented a new twist on its annual Spring Open House & Breakfast at Northfield Park set for this Sunday, June 2.

In cooperation with Northfield Park, TheStable.ca two-year-olds will participate in qualifying races (rather than the usual training miles presented in past Open House events). Over six qualifying dashes, 28 of the outfit’s U.S.-based youngsters will compete in their first charted mile.

The 28 rookies are represented by 518 of the 900+ clients in the award-winning fractional ownership operation.

A livestream broadcast of the qualifiers will be presented on TheStable.ca YouTube channel, Facebook and website. Announcer Michael Carter will call the races; Mark McKelvie and Fred MacDonald will provide commentary from the desk; and Anthony MacDonald will join the broadcast from trackside between the races.

The race program (including pedigrees) is available: https://thestable.ca/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Full-Program-2024.pdf

The sold-out breakfast starts at 10:00 a.m. The broadcast begins at 10:30 a.m. Post time for the first qualifying race is 11:00 a.m.

TheStable.ca is an award-winning fractional racehorse ownership operation with bases in Ohio and Ontario and satellite trainers throughout several U.S. states.

There are currently 150 Standardbred horses owned by 900 people from 14 countries.

The innovative model invites people to own a little and love it a lot. Clients can purchase as little as one percent of a horse, making the thrill of harness racing and racehorse ownership accessible and affordable.

TheStable.ca was created by Anthony and Amy MacDonald in 2015 to boost racehorse ownership by removing common barriers to entry and offering an engaging experience.
